The Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) analyzed trends in EpiPen prescription costs from 2009-2016 for Medicaid and commercial payers. For both insurance types, the median paid amount for an EpiPen prescription has been steadily increasing with each consecutive year. Analysis is based on claims data in the Colorado All-Payer Claims Database (APCD).
