On September 10, 2018, the APCD Council submitted written comments to the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) CMS-1693-P in response specifically to section IV.B. Request for Information on Price Transparency: Improving Beneficiary Access to Provider and Supplier Charge Information. The APCD Council focused comments on states’ efforts to drive transparency and how that experience can inform CMS, understanding that there is a broader universe of stakeholders who will likely comment on other parts of the NPRM with their own unique lens.
