Using commercial claims data from the NH Comprehensive Health Care Information System (NHCHIS), the New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) performed this analysis to understand the impact of the passage of HB 790 which expanded the definition of dependent young adults to those who are under 26 years of age for purposes of increasing access to health insurance coverage. The main focus of the analysis was understanding the impact of dependent health care coverage as well as costs associated with coverage.
