This study focuses on Maryland's health care spending following their initiative to meet the 'triple aims' of health care reform: slowing the growth of costs, improving quality of care, and improving population health (Kowlessar). Data from 2012 is used to analyze spending in three target areas relevant to meeting the aims of health reform.
