Related APCD Activity

  • New York State enacted legislation in the spring of 2011 that allowed for the creation of an All Payer Database (APD). The All Payer Database (APD) program will provide policymakers, researchers, and consumers with a comprehensive, health-focused, data warehousing and analytic solution for New York State. Enabling research, transparency, and improved decision making, the APD program supports the Department of Health’s (DOH) mission of protecting the health, productivity and well-being of all New Yorkers by promoting public health and patient safety, by reducing health disparities, and by assuring access to affordable, high quality health services.

    Through a Master Patient Index, Master Provider Index, and a suite of data enrichment tools, the APD warehouse and analytic solution will be able to consolidate previously siloed data sources and fill gaps in the types of information available to support DOH’s mission.
